V. pleasant staff and superbly comfortable room. The hotel garden was beautiful and well-tended, and the breakfast was excellent. This was olde-worlde luxury. We would happily have stayed on an extra day!...

The staff was professional and experienced and we could use wake up service and ironing free of charge. The location for Chippenham was magnificent, next to the race track, the lovely garden and the restaurant. It also was...

Comfort, cleanliness, building character, setting.
Breakfast ingredients surprisingly poor, e.g. sliced bread used for toast, flavourless bacon, coffee quality.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Service during wedding reception and evening was very good. Lovely quiet room. Lovely breakfast and lovely food during the wedding that we were attending.
We thought the room was expensive for what it was.and dark. We were situated above or near a loud fan, which was annoying during the night.

The location, the building and the gardens were very good. Our room was extremely comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good.
Although the food in the restaurant was good, the staff were somewhat less good. The waitresses would benefit from some training.

The room was a nice size and very comfortable with a good TV and freeview channles. The food and wine were good and the service at dinner and breakfast were also good.
I personally did not experience her but the lady meeting couples to discuss possible weddings was a bit loud and somewhat brash. From what I overheard (it was impossible not to overhear) she lacked style and subtelty. As a result I would not recommend this hotel as a possible wedding venue.

I had a lovely two-night stay in a Classic Double Room with Bath & Shower, and I really enjoyed the delicious continental breakfast and the cozy dining room. The garden was a perfect spot to relax, and I loved unwinding in the lounge area. Just a heads up, the traffic noise can be a bit loud at times, but it didn't ruin my enjoyment at all! 😊
